Rachel Hoff Takes Her Dirty Campaign Tricks to the Next Level
Tarnished by the Governor Sanford sex scandal, some Republicans see no
reason to draw the line there. On July 11th, the Young Republicans
will once again run a candidate for national Chairman with a criminal
background. The candidate, Rachel Hoff, pled guilty to the
misdemeanor of notarizing absentee ballot signatures without actually
witnessing them during the 2004 South Dakota Senate race, when she was
working for the state Republican Party.
The Young Republican National Federation needs a trustworthy leader,
especially after in 2007, Glen Murphy, then current Chair of the YRNF,
plead guilty of Sexual Assault. Where is the parallel you ask, well:
Glenn was charged for Sexual Battery doing the exact same thing in
1998. The Young Republican National Federation voters didn't see the
warning signs then, will they see it now?
Only 13 of the 50 states endorsed Rachel Hoff (AZ, CA, DC, FL,ID, KY,
MD, MA, MS, NJ, NC, RI, SC, VT, VI, WA) which leaves her trailing far
behind in the election. The question is: what are these states
thinking? Do they really feel it is in the best interest of the
Republican party to elect someone with such a dishonest past?
Obviously they are putting their own interests above that of their
party. Electing someone such as Hoff who blatantly disregarded the
freedoms that our fore fathers died for, is a disgrace to not only all
Republicans, but all Americans.
Unfortunately, it doesn't end there with Hoff: As one of only a very
few Young Republicans nationwide in favor of Civil Unions, Rachel Hoff
attempted to convince the YRNF in 2007 to adopt a stance IN FAVOR OF
CIVIL UNIONS. Although Rachel was not wearing a dress like her female
counterparts, but her typical suite, her attempt was met with ridicule
and frustration. It was overwhelmingly shot down and left the idea in
many delegates minds of: Why would Rachel Hoff support Civil Unions?

Rachel Hoff and her team are now resorting to dirty tricks to try and
steal the YRNF election next week in Indianapolis. This should come as
no surprise though. This is the same girl who was convicted of forging
signatures in 2004. You have to hand it to her, the girl won't give
up. She made sure her key supporters are chairing the credential
committee and has even gone so far as to attempt to move the regional
elections up to Friday morning. Why is Next Level pushing for this?
Because they know they can't win on the floor so their only chance of
getting any NL candidates elected is by holding elections before all
delegates have arrived. That's right, they want to elect regional
positions before the entire delegation votes on Regional Vice
Chairs...a little fishy.
We can all say goodbye to our integrity as a Republican if we allow
Rachel Hoff to be elected Chair of the YRNF. What does it say about
the Republican Party that not even our younger leaders can elect
someone with a clean past? Make your voice heard and contact your
representatives in the states where she has been endorsed!
